Anthony S. Cottone

Anthony (Tony) Cottone has a substantial amount of litigation experience representing healthcare clients including national hospital organizations, healthcare institutions, small practice groups and specialized treatment facilities.  Tony’s experience in healthcare litigation includes defense of medical malpractice claims, employment discrimination claims, commercial litigation matters, and general liability cases.  Tony says, “No matter the type of case you are faced with, the most important stage in litigation can be initial investigation.  It is my top priority to thoroughly investigate matters early,  before suit is filed where possible, so that we can work together to develop and support strong defenses, begin a framework for trial strategy and where necessary, develop realistic potential valuation from the very start.”
Tony is also a member of the Professional Liability Defense Federation (PLDF), currently serving as the Chair for the Employment Practices Liability (EPL) Committee. Through his membership with the PLDF, Tony has presented at the groups Annual Meetings and drafted numerous articles for the PLDF Quarterly.  Additionally, through the PLDF, Tony has drafted amicus curiae briefs on various professional liability matters.
A former Assistant District Attorney, Tony gained significant trial experience in his role serving Chester County, Pennsylvania. He handled all matters of criminal prosecution and successfully tried multiple jury and bench trials to verdict.
