Rachel Carey

Rachel Carey is an associate with Hancock, Daniel & Johnson P.C. with her practice focusing on regulatory compliance and reimbursement.

Rachel’s practice areas are inspired by her family members serving as healthcare providers and her experience navigating the healthcare system personally for her family members. From assisting with medical billing to researching state waiver plans and long-term services and supports, Rachel has had a several different prospective of healthcare that help serve her clients. Rachel also spent several years working at multiple managed-care organizations, and Rachel uses this experience to give her clients key insight on how to best approach reimbursement as practices continue to move towards managed-care and value-based care.

Rachel graduated Barry University’s Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law in 2016. During law school, Rachel interned with Aetna’s Medicare Legal Department working on editing for Employer Group Waiver Plans (EGWPs) and Medicare appeals. Rachel also interned at the Florida Medicaid Fraud Control Unit in Orlando, FL providing research on pharmacy benefit management.
