William H. Hall, Jr.

In addition to poring over legislative updates, reading industry publications and meticulously reviewing contracts, there’s one thing that Bill Hall does every day to gain even deeper insight into the new and evolving challenges facing Hancock Daniel clients—he interacts with them.

As healthcare commands a growing share of the nation’s economy, the standards that apply to healthcare providers have evolved over the years of his practice. “What hasn’t changed is the fact that providers come to me not for just a recitation of statutes, but for practical guidance on how to meet regulatory requirements while accomplishing their objectives for patient care and their business,” says Bill. “I identify the business objectives of the client and work with them on thoughtful strategies to meet those objectives while addressing risks and regulatory standards.”

Bill has led legal review on transactions ranging from hospital mergers and acquisitions to negotiation and implementation of complex multi-provider integrated electronic health records systems. His practice includes significant work on information technology agreements, cybersecurity, HIPAA, and information privacy and security.

“I believe the most significant benefit I provide is knowledge of our clients’ underlying businesses,” Bill adds. “Understanding trends in healthcare services, reimbursement and other areas allows me to point out potential business risks and opportunities to those who do not work in the industry on a daily basis.”
