Two members of the House of Delegates stepped down for different reason.
Delegate Jennifer Carroll-Foy resigned her House seat to focus on her run for Governor. Democrat Candi King won the seat narrowly over Republican Heather Mitchell. Delegate-Elect King is a special needs advocate and a volunteer at Freedom High School. District 2 represents parts of Prince William and Stafford counties.
Delegate Joe Lindsay resigned his seat to become a Judge. Democrat Angelia Williams Graves beat Republican Sylvia Bryant handily. Delegate-Elect Graves is a member of Norfolk City Council. District 90 represents parts of Norfolk City and Virginia Beach City.
