Hancock Daniel’s MHA Internship Program allows students in the Master of Health Administration program at Virginia Commonwealth University to work closely with Hancock Daniel’s healthcare attorneys. To prepare the MHA students for a career in the highly regulated healthcare industry, Hancock Daniel’s MHA Internship Program provides MHA students with practical exposure to the state and federal agencies and regulations that govern hospitals and other health care entities. The MHA Intern assists attorneys with Certificate of Public Need projects, Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement matters, and licensing and accreditation issues. The MHA Intern also gains important insight into legal issues that may arise in physician-hospital relations by assisting Hancock Daniel’s attorneys in medical staff credentialing, physician joint venture and physician employment matters.
Interested MHA students should contact Emily Towey, MHA, JD, at (804) 967-9604 for additional details.
