Matthew Fisher

“I like the challenge of working with businesses to navigate the maze of healthcare and find creative ways to achieve a business goal.” The navigation process is a combination of taking the time to learn about the client’s business, establishing a solid working relationship, and then challenging each other to approach ideas and problems from different perspectives. Matt’s practical approach of breaking complex healthcare laws and regulations into easy to understand pieces allows a practical approach to be established that enables the strategic business goal to be achieved, even though unexpected paths will be followed to get there.

Matt works with clients on corporate and regulatory matters for health technology companies and all forms of care delivery, including physician groups, community hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and home health agencies. Matt enjoys helping each client find its own way to success by working closely with each client to understand how its business operates and what it looks to achieve. HIPAA, privacy, and security have become a particular focus, especially in the technology field. Matt understands that startups and even established companies working with technology have a lot of questions and benefit from clear guidance on how to achieve a goal.

Most recently, Matt served as General Counsel to a digital health company that provided a virtual care management platform that drove efficiency and improved outcomes. Matt enjoyed diving deeply into the business operations of the company and working with all areas of the business. “Being a full part of the business team helped me remove the mystery and fear of working with legal by showing that I was a full partner in driving business goals, not a barrier.”
