Jenny McGrath knows the value of listening and what it means to a client’s business. Her insight comes from experience as in-house counsel at a global oil company and as a corporate attorney for healthcare and other organizations of varying sizes and sectors. “I understand the value my client wants from me,” Jenny says. “It is so important to hear what a client is saying and to understand the issues and needs. I also know firsthand from my work in-house how the assessment of legal issues is just one important piece of the business drivers my client must consider.”
Her clients have ranged from Fortune 500 companies, to multi-state health systems, to small practices and businesses, and her work has spanned everything from straightforward asset sales to complex mergers, and international acquisitions and ventures. She currently advises clients on a myriad of transaction and business matters in healthcare law, including Virginia’s high-profile, first merger under a cooperative agreement, the acquisition by a health system of a municipally-owned hospital, joint venture deals to own and operate post-acute care facilities, private equity investment in healthcare companies, general business contracts, and corporate governance and compliance.
Jenny’s previous experience in-house and with a large international law firm was invaluable in developing expertise in diverse, complex deals and issues, and she believes Hancock Daniel’s focus solely on healthcare law enables her to take this expertise and add the collective depth of the firm’s knowledge and experience to help clients adapt in the ever-changing healthcare world.
