Julia Carlton is a corporate associate in Hancock Daniel’s Richmond office. Prior to joining Hancock Daniel, Julia served as lead counsel to the Virginia Senate’s Education and Health Committee. In this role, she advised state legislators on a broad range of health law topics and gained an extensive understanding of the complex laws and regulations healthcare organizations and providers must adhere to.

Prior to her work in the Virginia legislature, Julia clerked for the Honorable Nicholas E. Rattal in the Circuit Court for Prince George’s County, Maryland. Julia received her J.D. from the American University Washington College of Law and her undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland, College Park.
