Julia Carlton

Julia Carlton is a corporate associate in Hancock Daniel’s Richmond office. Prior to joining Hancock Daniel, Julia served as lead counsel to the Virginia Senate’s Education and Health Committee. In this role, she advised state legislators on a broad range of health law topics and gained an extensive understanding of the complex laws and regulations healthcare organizations and providers must adhere to.

I am passionate about helping my clients navigate a constantly changing regulatory system so they can focus on what matters most: providing high quality patient care.” Julia focuses her practice on guiding her clients through the certificate of need, licensure, and government payor enrollment and certification process.

Prior to her work in the Virginia legislature, Julia clerked for the Honorable Nicholas E. Rattal in the Circuit Court for Prince George’s County, Maryland. Julia received her J.D. from the American University Washington College of Law and her undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland, College Park.
