Prior to joining Hancock Daniel in 2025, Matthew spent twenty years serving as in-house counsel to some of the most complex and integrated health systems in the southeast. In that role, Matthew was instrumental in providing legal and regulatory advice that aided both hospital operators and physician leaders in creating and maintaining clinical care centers of excellence, expanding the depth and breadth of clinical offerings in the region. Also, Matthew assisted health systems in forging innovative relationships with academic and research institutions.
In addition to supporting clinical care offerings, Matthew collaborated with health system leaders to ensure that the institutions he served maintained financial stability and supported the activation of various team member health, wellness and safety initiatives. “With an intimate knowledge and understanding of the healthcare delivery ecosystem, I strive to assist my clients in developing and implementing sustainable solutions that enhance clinical care delivery and financial stability.”
