With over a decade in the practice of law, Maureen appreciates the value of a strong advocate to assist clients in navigating complex legal situations. Her knowledge and varied litigation experience assist in distilling complicated legal scenarios in order to provide practical advice and quality representation.
Maureen is an experienced trial and appellate lawyer. Her focus and thorough preparation in her cases have led to successful results for her clients. At the beginning of her career, Maureen completed a clerkship with the chief judge of the Prince William County Circuit Court. She then spent several years as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney where she personally litigated hundreds of cases, including over thirty cases she tried before juries as lead and solo counsel. In addition, as an Assistant Attorney General, she argued over fifteen cases before the Virginia Court of Appeals and successfully handled many matters before the Virginia Supreme Court. Most recently, Maureen’s litigation practice has focused on administrative law and the complex and highly regulated alcohol industry during her tenure as litigation counsel at the Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Authority.
