Mayesha Alam

Mayesha is a corporate associate in Hancock Daniel’s Richmond Office where she advises clients on a broad range of regulatory compliance and transactional matters. Mayesha counsels clients on certification and licensure, mergers and acquisitions, and physician services. The healthcare environment is constantly evolving placing a large demand on health systems and providers. “In this dynamic industry, the players are all unique with individual needs and goals. I emphasize my creativity in designing strategies and approaches to cater to each client’s needs.”

Mayesha received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Richmond School of Law where she was a founding board member of the Richmond Law & Business Forum. She also completed her Master’s in Health Administration at Virginia Commonwealth University. “Through my experiences and involvement with health care systems and leaders, I understand the complexities underlying the stages of a health system from entity formation to closure. My familiarity with the industry allows me to communicate and advise clients on an operational level.”

Prior to joining the firm as a full-time associate, Mayesha started her career at the firm as an intern during graduate school and a summer associate during law school.
