Sabira Khan is an associate at Hancock Daniel, where she advises clients on antitrust matters related to corporate transactions and regulatory compliance. Sabira counsels clients across all disciplines of antitrust enforcement, including merger control, joint venture formation, government investigations, civil antitrust litigation, and antitrust compliance. “Healthcare transactions are met with significant antitrust scrutiny and it is my goal to engage with regulators, economists, and industry experts to help clients navigate a rapidly evolving regulatory environment.”
Sabira has worked on several transactions in highly regulated industries to help clients obtain antitrust clearance. She has experience analyzing mergers to identify potential antitrust risk early in the deal process and crafting practical remedies to mitigate such risk. In addition to her merger work, Sabira has represented clients in civil and criminal antitrust investigations brought by both federal and state antitrust enforcers. “Through my investigations work, I have developed a strong understanding of the technical underpinnings of the antitrust frameworks, which allows me to help clients proactively develop appropriate compliance programs.” Sabira has also represented plaintiffs and defendants in private antitrust litigation.
Prior to joining Hancock Daniel, Sabira was a counsel and an associate at two international law firms based in Washington, D.C. She also served as a law clerk to Judge William J. Martinez on the United States District Court for the District of Colorado.
