The healthcare industry is dynamic and Shevarma knows that healthcare clients’ needs are necessarily evolving with the ever-changing regulatory landscape. “It is important to first gain an understanding of the client’s goals and then get creative about how best to accomplish them within the regulatory framework.”
Shevarma is an Associate on the firm’s Corporate team, and her practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, ‘super group’ practice affiliations, due diligence, hospital-physician alignment strategies, contract drafting and general business matters. Her merger and acquisition experience includes hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, imaging facilities, home health agencies, private equity, physician and dental practices and other healthcare facilities and operations. She also advises clients on corporate governance and other transactional and compliance issues.
Prior to joining the firm, Shevarma was a law clerk to the Honorable Bradley B. Cavedo and the Honorable C. N. Jenkins, Jr. at the Richmond Circuit Court. She also served as an intern at the Office of the Virginia Attorney General, working on antitrust and related issues.
