Kyle René

Kyle represents post-acute and long-term care providers in matters impacting compliance, reimbursement, and licensing. From nursing homes and assisted living providers, to hospices, rehabilitation providers, durable medical equipment (DME) suppliers, home health Agencies (HHAs), providers of diagnostic services, and individual professionals, Kyle focuses on matters impacting reimbursement under Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance, as well as Medicare requirements of participation/conditions of participation and licensure requirements under state law. He has worked with clients in transactional and internal compliance matters, and also appeared before state and federal regulatory and licensing bodies for formal and informal administrative matters, including the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and state professional licensing boards.

For Kyle, “the most complicated problems present the greatest opportunities to add value.”

Prior to joining Hancock Daniel, Kyle served as General Counsel to a provider of skilled nursing and addiction recovery services in Maryland and Delaware, where he oversaw the organization’s legal department and advised company executives in transactional and regulatory matters. He is routinely invited to speak before state and national audiences, including through the American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA), the American Health Care Association (AHCA), the Virginia Health Care Association (VHCA), and Maryland’s Lifespan Network, among others. Kyle is a graduate of the Georgetown University Law Center and the University of Portland (Oregon), where he lived his “past life” as a stage actor, double majoring in English and Drama. Outside the office, he and his wife actively work with organizations committed to supporting elderly and special-needs individuals.
